JRNI Statement on European Accessibility Act (EAA) Compliance

JRNI is Prepared to Meet EAA Compliance Regulations

JRNI is actively preparing for the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which comes into force on 28 June 2025. This legislation introduces binding accessibility requirements for digital services offered within the EU, including platforms like ours that facilitate online booking, queuing, and customer engagement.

We are currently auditing and updating all relevant public-facing booking experiences—appointment, event, and queuing flows—to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This includes all user touchpoints such as the standard booking journeys for each of our products (old and new journeys), personal and public booking links, embedded journeys, and confirmation or rescheduling pages.

In accordance with Article 15 of the Directive, service providers are expected to take the necessary measures to ensure accessibility, and—where full compliance is not yet achieved—demonstrate that concrete steps are in place to meet the requirements within a reasonable timeframe. This means that a clearly documented roadmap toward accessibility compliance is both a valid and recognized approach under the law.

At JRNI, we have already begun this process:

  • Identifying and documenting any non-conformities across our digital journeys , conducting audits using automated tools to identify accessibility gaps
  • Prioritizing the work required to address them. Implementing updates to ensure compliance with recognized standards, including keyboard navigation, screen reader compatibility, color contrast ratios, and semantic structure
  • Actively implementing updates across upcoming releases and continuing to prioritize identified issues in our development pipeline

We understand the importance of digital accessibility, not only for compliance, but to support inclusive experiences for all users. Our teams are committed to ensuring our platforms meet the expectations of the EAA and continue to evolve in line with accessibility best practices.

There is no action required on your side at this stage. JRNI is aware of the upcoming regulatory requirements and is managing compliance efforts centrally and proactively. We remain confident in our ability to meet the obligations of the European Accessibility Act.
